Welcome to my first game jam game ever. The powerless are people who are inherently born without magic. You unironically play as one of them. In a world where everyone uses magic, you must prove your worth through determination and dedication by climbing out of ROCK BOTTOM. Is it even possible? Not sure honestly.

I had a pretty good time with this one! It definitely feels rewarding to beat and I'm assuming there are two or more routes, which keeps it fresh!

The sprint felt kinda finicky at times (I think it ramps up speed over time instead of being a toggle, but that just makes it inconsistent for the smaller platform bits), and there came I point where I wished I could skip the dialogue without having to mash enter, but other than that it was great fun!

Thanks for checking out the game! Yeah I originally had the toggle spring mechanic in there and it was super fun to be honest, but it ended up making the platforming too easy so I ended up taking it out. I’m thinking about putting it back in when the jam ends as well as making the dialogue skippable since I know it’s a lot of dialogue. Thanks so much for playing and the useful feedback!

Yes!! I did it. Won't spoil the rest of the ending, but I had to brag here:

Because you definitely made an enjoyably hard game that makes one want to brag after finishing.

I also really love the art, and you did well on choosing out the music, too. Damn that prick on a (broom)stick, really motivated me to finish just to show them.

Great work!

Haha! I’m so glad you liked it, it’s my first time doing any sort of level designing and I had a lot of fun with it, good job on finishing it and thanks for playing!

Oh, I just remembered, I wanted to ask yesterday but completely forgot while typing the comment - you don't have to spoil anything, but I am curious: Is there a way to open the door at the bottom right?

Yeah, there's a way to open the door.

Nice, always a fan of hidden stuff in games :D

I will definitely have to revisit!

How... did you beat the game without opening the door?

Are there 2+ routes?

Your statement certainly makes me think there are :D

I "just" climbed to the top, was very hard, but it gave me an ending. Now I am even more curious!
